2001 Alfa Romeo 147 Repair Question

Help me with noises
Alpha 147 t spark 2.0.. here gos, had sqeaks and knocks from front suspension, took to mechanic, changed drop links on arb, bushes etc, and some bushes at too of springs. Solved sqeaks but still got knocking. He now says it could be the bottom arms? Also have a small noise after gear change, piston like sound. Can anyone help as I don't trust mechanic and so far its cost me a lot. Thankyou

hard to say without seeing it and looking at it. it could be the lower arms.
get a second opinion if you dont believe him.

Thanks Roy, I think that's prob best. Any advise on the little gear change noise that occurs when I release clutch. Pleeeaaaaase no more expensiveness

does it sounds like the engine or trans noise??
could be a bearing or syncro in the trans or if the motor, a rod bearing
