My car Has a type S transmission. I was told my transmission is shot just by someone checking the fluid in it and the fact that the catalytic converter would go over like a two inch hump into his shop. The car still drives. D5 light was blinking but is out now. I do not drive it in d5 never did I always drive it in d4. But it started one night a couple weeks ago I was coming from work and pulled out the gas station kind of up a hill the car stalled n the middle of the road and jerked hard. I was like three miles from home and as I was trying to pull in the driveway the car would not accelerate enough to go up the driveway. The car does fine in reverse and driving. It used to jerk when changing gears but all that stopped when the car jerked real bad that night. The problem is when you come to a stop getting the car to go is hard. You have to push the gas hard and it barely goes but once its going it is fine. I went and had it hooked up only code was the clutch control pressure solenoid valve code P1768. Would that make the car do what it is doing and the d5 light go out?

So what color is the fluid? How long have you been driving it with the problem with the solenoid?

The fluid is still red it is not burnt or gunky. I have parked the car I am not driving it right now. The solenoid code just came up like two weeks ago.

The fluid being red and does not smell burnt is a good sign. If you clear the code will the code set right away again? Because the trouble tree for code ask that if so they have steps to follow to see if it is the solenoid computer or wires.

I am just going to replace the whole piece the clutch control pressure solenoid valve the upper one. I found the part in the car it looks rough and the top piece came completely off. I have read that it controls the shifting.

Yes I think so too, but what would make the d5 light in the dash board flash then go out completely. But I think d5 is gone out or would the clutch control pressure solenoid valve cause it to do that? I've never drove it in d5 only d4. But the car used to shift a little rough around 20-25mph but it doesn't jerk no more at all. The only problem is when you come to a complete stop, then press the gas the rpms go to 2 and it moves slow so but pick ups speed about 20mph and goes just fine but the car kinda start riding rough like shahky around 60-65.
