Cant get a connection between the obd and reader. People tell me it the after market radio causing my problem. Runs rough

Yes it's probably the aftermarket radio. For what ever reason, Volkswagen decided to combine the circuits and when ever someone replaces their radio, they have this problem.

You'll have to undo that installation to get it working, or have someone familiar with this issue reconstruct this circuit just for testing. (A dealer)
