What causes a repeated banging when the brakes are applied on my ?

What causes a repeated banging when thr brakes are applied on my 2000 Subaru Outback? At any speed. Untill the car is stopped. Braking is adversly affected.

Time for a brake inspection by your mechanic. A front rotor could be cracking apart, caliper mounting bolt could be missing, or a suspension part could be worn. There are many other possibilities and many of them are not serious but some things can lead to a crash.
