My 2000 Boxster S whistles, I hear it at fuel cap area, sitting still and driving. What could this be?

Removed right fender and plastic fender well. I believe it's coming from the evaporative control system. The whistling hose connects to the full cap area ( exterior )?

That is a breather for when filling the tank. Check to make sure there are no rust holes in the steel filler tube. Check to make sure the fuel cap is good.

I replaced the fuel cap due to a small crack. It did not stop the whisle. I will check the steel filler tube next. Thank you!

Let me know what you find. NOTE: Are you sure it what you hear isn't the fuel pump running?
