Car slowed down at 80mph, shut off, I heard noises from under the hood. Few minutes it started back up, when I was exiting it shut off again. Dipstick looks dry, what could it be, also it did not want to accelerate

If the dipstick was dry, I would strongly recommend adding engine oil and then check for any oil leaks. The engine shutting off could be a result of internal components starting to overheat and seize. It could be the vehicle trying to save itself by shutting down to prevent catastrophic engine failure. I would not continue driving it with no oil and I would fix whatever reason that is causing the oil from going missing whether it be from an oil leak or the engine may be burning it.
