The timing belt stripped out the teeth at the crankshaft, the car was on the fwy at the time and I want to know if the motor suffered any damage to the valves or the positions and is there anything special that I have to do other than normal procedure to set up the timing marks. I'm just a back yard mechanic trying to make a buck and help out someone in need, it's there only car and I really want to make it run for them again. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Rich

You probably bent the valves, recommended replacement of belt and tensioner is 60,000 miles

Thank you hmac300 is there a chance it will run again if I just put another belt on it so I can give these people some hope and I can get paid, no one wants to pay for work if there is no guarantee. Thanks again for your help it is highly appreciated. Rich

The thing probably won't run with bent valves as there will be no compression if you are lucky and it starts then it is going to run like crap.
