Have a 2000 prelude base model, has the 2.2l dohc vtec (h22a4), cracked the head and replaced it along with new radiator, thermostat, timing belt, water pump, all new gaskets, new plugs fresh oil and antifreeze. Timing is right with out a doubt, when turning the motor over smells like gas, after when pulling plugs they have gas on them, best I can come up with injectors are pouring gas instead of spraying and seems to be electrical or sensor related which is a whole new ball game for me lol. What should I check to get this car driving again. Thanks, chris

I can try to help you figure out the problem, but first of all we have to start over.

1. Remove the four spark-plugs clean them with carburetor spray make sure they are dry, crank the engine over with no spark-plugs in it makes sure there is no fuel in the cylinders and reinstalled spark-plugs.

2. Crank the engine over and make sure you have spark

3. When you crank the engine over do not touch the accelerator pedal, if you do so you will open up the width parameter of the injector and cause it to flood, so you can not touch the accelerator pedal. Pull one of the spark plugs and see if it's wet?

4. Then bring me word.
