Honda air conditioning

My 2000 Honda Civics air conditioning only works on the highway. Please help!

Had the same problem with my 1999. I think you have two fans- one for the condenser and one for the radiator. Make sure both fans come on when you turn on the AC. The radiator fan needs to come on in order to cool the engine compartment so the condenser can work properly. It could also be a low charge on the AC or a weak compressor but I would start with the fans.
