Why does my engine shut off when I break?

I have 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible and sometimes when I attempt to start it it does and then shuts down. Also whenever it will go and stop at a stop sign or at a stop light or in some cases when I simply break it shuts off. What could this be I need help???

Start by checking the fuel pressure if its within specs-
