I got my car back from the mechanic that worked on it. He replaced the crank shaft position sensor, the distributor, and the ecu. And it still does not work. What are your suggestions from here?

So did the shop charge you to replace all those parts and fish with dynamite? If so I would be asking for a refund because they wasted all that money that was yours. Do you still have no spark?Any codes in the computer?

No spark at all. Not sure if that mechanic checked for codes or not. I will get a code reader and check it myself. Are they all the same or is there a special name for the one I need?

Will there still be a code thrown if the computer was changed out though, when the car can't be started? My son looked at the trouble tree and said that all those things were checked already he thought.

A new code would be set in the new computer. Also please follow the trouble I posted. If everything was tested correctly the car would be fixed.

I was just curious. The car has been taken to another mechanic and so far they are telling me that unless it has sentimental value it probably won't be worth fixing. Even though they haven't really had time to look at it yet. I was just wondering why they were even saying that if they haven't spent much time on it. I was trying to figure out what was wrong with it by going through you. I appreciate all your help. Someone else is trying to help me with it and keeps making it take longer than I think it should. My son wanted to figure it out with your help and do it himself. But the other person keeps thinking they know best and taking it to these different mechanics.

You need to get.A refund from the last place or take them to small claims court because all they did was take your money and your car still isn't fixed. Without checking something's on your car there is no telling what's wrong with it.
