My Abs System is giving the Code C1218 Abs and Traction lights are on what could this Mean?

It means your pump motor or wires are shorted and will need to be replaced. You r brakes will still work just no abs or traction control etc.

You can drive it only your abs willnot work YOU WILL STILL HAVE NORMAL OPERATING BRAKES, just not the abs factor. Your abs unit will either have to be rebuilt or find the short in it as well. You will NOT have traction control either. It is safe to drive.

If I replace the Abs Pump Motor will I have to Piwer Bleed the Brakes and use a Scan Tool don't really understand the purpose of the Scan tool what kind do I get to use?

You have to replace the whole unit then it has to be programmed to your car with a pro style scanner which if you have about $3500-7000 laying around to get one. You can try power bleeding with out a scanner but if your brakes go to floor a scanner will have to be used.
