Hello, I was wondering what would cause the steering to go stiff in a 2000 buick regal 3.8 non supercharged. It was fine for a while but I had it sit for a few years and then it was fine when I started it and now it is not fine. Where is the Power Steering Reservoir? Or does ity have one?

thanks

The power steering resivour is hard to find on that motor. It is all the way to the back on the passanger side about half way down on the motor. Its hard to see but its there. And not very safe to reach in and open when the car is running. Is it making any whining noises?

Check for a leak in the system like a hose bad there is probably oil all over so it will have to be cleaned to find the leak. If it doesn't say expert by the name it's not an answer from 2carpros

If there is no fluid in the reservoir then it went someplace it cold have leaked on the ground or in the boots of the rack and pinion have apro check it or fill it up and you will probably see where it leaks.
