2000 Audi A3 I can't find the fuse relating to the fan

The fan on my 2000 Audi A3 1.6 45,000 miles plate radiator wont stop running (small fan not the large one). I've had to disconnect the battery when I'm home as I can't find the fuse relating to the fan (its not where it says it is the book), I've been told that it might be the control switch that needs to be replaced?

I would look first at the relay for the fan. It may have welded itself together. I would pull the relay out and see if you have another relay that is identical to that one and swap it in and see if the fan starts working correctly. If it does then you just need to buy a new relay and install it.
