I just had the engine replaced in my 99 Pont Grand Prix. The heater worked fine when I picked it up, two days later it is not blowing hot air. I had to take it back the second day because the service engine soon light came on. Could the mechanic have disconnected something while trying to figure out the service engine soon light problem?

He could have disconnected the battery in the course of his repairs. If you have an auto temp control system, when the power is interrupted, the blend door goes through a self calibration where it extends to both extremes and sometimes the door gets jammed in this process.
