Security light does not flash, is there a fuse or something i am missing?

I have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee larado . the security system seems to arm and unlock fine. when the car alarm is on the red security light on the dash does not flash. the light never flashes. I have replaced the light part, still does not flash. The horn works and the alarm chirps when set.

The Sentry Key Immobilizer module is right near the ignition key switch and the body control module is located near the main junction box at the left of the dash.

My car does not have Sentry Key option. I found that out when i had to have extra keys made, no chip in keys.does this sound like a expensive fix @ the dealership?

That depends on the dealership and the problem. It could just be a bad wire or relay. Or it could be a bad BCM.
