My check engine light has been coming

Hi there,

The first thing to do is get a scan done as there is a set fault code in the ECU. This I feel will not be associated with an electrical problem, this may well be a faulty alternator, I would get the charge rate checked and also inspect the battery terminals are clean and tight, start here.
