I had asked the question but my words wouldnt show up so here it is again. After I put the car into drive, it idels high(reves up) and jolts really hard. It happens when I come to a stop also. I have to drive it like 10min before it drives perfectly. I don't know why it happens when it's cold. It acts like it doesn't want to go into the next gear. The check engine light only says EVAP leak. Could it be the tranny?

Yes. It sounds like the valve body may have sticky valves. Try using an additive to lube valve body's. You can get it at the parts stores. It may or may not help. You may have to go to a trans shop and let them check it and give you a bid.

Are you saying when you start car cold it idles ok but when you put it in gear it idles higher? I know honda's are notorious for high cold engine idle speeds.
