I had a recent incedent where a cat was under my hood. Ever since than I have not been able to start my truck. I Diagnosed the problem as it not getting fuel to the intake so I hot wired the fuel pump and it runs fine with a bypass switch. But the issue is that the fuel pump does not pump when the ignition is turned on. I have replaced the relay, fuel pump, and oil pressure sending unit and still nothing, any ideas? It is a 1999 Gmc Sierra 1/2 ton 2 wheel drive. Also when the incident happened the abs light went on and is still on.

Hello,

Check the fuel pressure regulator. It could have gotten disconnected or damaged.
If the fuel pressure is bad, it might not allow fuel to the injectors and the vehicle will not start.

Here is a helpful video:

As for the ABS light. It can be on due to a number of reasons. Best course of action would be to have the vehicle scanned for ABS codes. This can help with the diagnostic.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
