Car will not start. Could it be the starter solenoid?

Hi. My Ford Mondeo XL (1999)won't start. Lights flicker on dash panel and clicks in door panels. Have charged battery but nothing. Could it be the solenoid? Live seven miles from nearest garage. Thanks.

Seems the security system is triggerred. Close all doors and use key to lock and unlock door and retest.

I think maybe try put jump leads I think your battery knackered turn all the lights on and fog lights if they go dim or the clocks go mad flick round then probably battery
