BREAK FLUID

1999 Ford Focus • 1.8L 2WD Manual • 104,000 miles

I have to keep topping up my break fluid as it keeps going down. I had a look in the engine department and there is no sign of any leaks. There was a wet patch on the floor by my right back wheel this morning, not sure what that was.
My break pads do need replacing, would that contribute to the loss of break fluid.

You need to check this wet patch, it may be a leaking calliper or brake line, brake fluid loss is a serious problem, get this inspected ASAP.

OK, but do not delay in getting this looked at, you are putting your self and other road users at risk driving with suspect brakes.
