Has the check engine light come on? When does it stall, at idle, while moving?

Start by checking for vacuum leaks. Also, check the idle air control valve on the throttle body. Since the engine doesn't die when driving, chances are it has nothing to do with a fuel issue, but rather a vacuum leak, IAC, or even the EGR valve.

Let me know what you find. Also, let me know if the check engine light has come on.
