My 99 chevy malibu is emitting a P0410 secondary air intake malfunction, but I can hear that it is operating so I know that it is not flooded. When the sai engages I have noticed a drop in voltage and my headlights dim. The sai engages and then switches on and of repetitively, to the point of ridiculousness. I have also noticed a metal rattle coming from the same area. Do you have any idea as to what I can replace that will fix this problem?

Look for a holein one of the lines. Also make sure that they are allconnected. It should be easy to follow them to see where they go. If not you'll have to get a scanner so it can be checked for what is wrong.

The lines going to as well as from the sai unit. Also check your air intake ducts for holes as well.
