1999 Chevrolet Express Repair Question

Chevrolet Express Engine Problem
Hi. I have an Express 1500 Van 5.7 Engine. Every now and then it would not start like it wasn't getting any fire. And then I would wait a day or 2 and i would start. Now it won't start and I took the engine cover off and put a screw driver in a Plug wire to check for Spark I'm getting no spark on the Plugs.
GOt any idea what it might be?

check the coil, cap and rotor.

cap and rotor issues are very common on these vehicles,inspect them very closely and if you do replace them use O.E. ONLY PARTS.trust me on this one
