I just replaced my ignition tumbler and I am having the same problem, it worked graet for about 4 hours and then stopped. It will not turn off all the way and the key is stuck. I have been unhooking the battery to keep it from draining. So what else could the problem be?

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the shifter interlock. Which detects the vehicle is in park and releases the key from the ignition. Sometimes the lever might not trigger the release due to being loose or misaligned.
There was a recall on this specific issue.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
