Where is the location of the ETC sensor on 2001 Nissan Altima GXE 2.4 engine?

It should be by the thermostat. It has a two wire connector. Here is a guide to help you see what you are in for when doing the job:

On the left rear of engine, on the coolant outlet for the 2.5L engine.
