Iam havin Mitsubishi carisma 1998, 1.8l, automatic transmission, petrol.
Now iam living ina cold place, with about -10 to -25 degree.
Car was going fine, suddenly yesterday it was cold -23 and the car didn’t start, so took another car battery and tried, car started.
Again today the car didn’t start with that other car battery. So I bought a new battery and replaced it, but car dint start, engine turns on, the light r on.
1st when I put the key and try to start, the central lock started beeping so I had to press the button each time I put the key and try to start.
And when I put the key 1st all the indicator lamps blink, the second time I try to start the engine oil lamp dosnt blink. Start also dosnt come,
Please give me a solution.

Is the new battery fully charged? Some new batteries could be partially drained due to storage. Get it charged and retest.

Does using a jump start or another battery works?

You did not mention anything about being able to crank with the new battery.

Seems you have a faulty ignition switch or the alarm is interfering.
