2000 Mitsubishi Carisma Car does not start

2000 Mitsubishi Carisma 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

My carisma gdi 1.8 equippe (2000) does not start anymore.
According to diagnostic, there is fault code 78 APS main.
I do not know if the Key is fault or there is something else that is causing this.

Please assist.

My girlfriends w reg 1.8 carisma stopped at the cash point and would not start again. AA and others have spent hours looking for the reason - ultimately just found out it was the sensor to the throttle that was jammed open.

We had had problems with the key - so had new key cut and re programmed without result. Hence the tow to the garage.

Check the throttle sensors etc - hope it works
