What's the best way to remove O2s

Bank 1, upstream, 98 mercury mystique, remove coil pack or what? 2.5, V6. Thanks! Now if this is not the problem how do I check for intake leak? Code P1131, THANKS!

The best way to check for a vacuum leak is let it idle and spray carb spray all around looking for the rpms going up or down stumbling or dying. Or better yet a evap smoke machine.

If there is a heat shield on the exhaust manifold remove it. Then unplug the sensor and use a short o2 sensor socket with a ratchet to unscrew it.
