The car works fine until the engine coolant warms up, then she starts to buck in drive, but will idle fine.

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked for vacuum leaks, the EGR, fuel pressure?

Let me know.

The engine light did not come on. Could not find any vacuum leaks. Where is the EGR valve. Don't have tool to check the fuel pressure. What does the engine coolant temp sensor control.

The EGR is on the intake. As far as the fuel pressure, you need a gauge. Most parts stores will lend them to you hoping to sell you a fuel pump. Contact a nationally recognized parts store for the best results. As far as the temp sensor, it tells the computer ambient temp and coolant temp. From that, the computer determines how rich or lean to make the fuel mixture.

I have to say, it is odd that the check engine light hasn't come on. If the engine is bucking, that tells me it is missing which should set a trouble code.

Let me know if you have other questions. Please note, there are other sensors that can cause these problems, but without the check engine light on to identify where the problem is coming from, anything I say is a guess. It may not be a bad idea to have a parts store scan the computer just incase there is a code stored and the light is burned out. Again, most will do that for free too.

Let me know what you find.

This car does not have a EGR valve. Could it be in the emission system, say the purge valve for the gas tank.

It could, but I would think an emissions light would come on.
