Battery drain?

I have a question. I have a 1998 Ford Windstar van with a battery that would not keep a charge a month ago. I replaced the alternator, it worked well for about a week or two, then would not hold a charge again. I replaced the battery, it worked for several days, then it would not hold a charge again. What else could it be? The wiring? A fuse? Where do I start? Thanks.

I love this site :-)

Had the alternator tested (is this what you meant) and it was fine. Not sure this matters, but sometimes when you touch the door, it shocks you. Could this mean that it is a short circuit? How would we find somethng like that? Thank you again.
