Ford Ranger Compression Problem

Hi i have a 98 ford ranger V6 3.0 2wd and i have a misfire in cylinder for the truck runs really rough. i tried wires plugs premium fuel and HEET for mostiure. what should i do to narrow the problem down. please help asap.

check the codes for cylinder specific code,also with the engine idleing try unpluging the fuel injectors on at a time and the one that makes the least amount or no amount of difference is where the problem is.once you find the problem cylinder/s the you have to test to see what you are missing,spark,fuel,compression.
