I want to install a reversing camera. I need to wire through the boot door interior. Please let me know, how I can open that. Thanks.

I'm guessing you mean the plastic trim in the boot. These usually are secured to the body of the car with screws. However, I owned a 1998 Escort and the trim in that car was secured to the body with locking friction pins. Pop the center section of the pin out and pull the pin out of the trim.

Yes, it is the plastic trim but there are no screws, tags or friction pins that I can see.

Hmmm. Can you upload a couple of pictures of the trim panels for me to look at?

Thank you, every one. I opened it. There are pins inside the panel. I just pulled it. To close it, I just need to press the panel on top of them.

Ok. Non-locking friction pins. Happy to have helped. Tell your friends about us.
