1998 Ford Contour Repair Question
Mileage: 7,500 miles.
Drain battery
Answer
Is this battery going dead after the car has been parked or while it is being used?
while it being used. yesterday i went for a ride and then the car stop runing.
That would indicate a problem with the charging system. You need to first, fully recharge the battery with an external charger and then read the charging voltage across the battery with the engine idling and no accessories on. It has to be between 13.5 and 14.8 volts.
I just want to say thank you, for all of your help. i am retired
and husband decease. GOD BLESS YOU

sure if he knows what to do with charging part. is this electral
work. if so will it be expensive. help again please.
It's probably a bad alternator but there are other possibilities so the system should be tested.
alternator check out working, something is still draning battery
what else can i test please help
Was the charging voltage tested on the car as I suggested?
yes, we finally did test the voltage , found out low voltage, so we
had to rewire to the battery to the moduler, i think that what he said and now the car is running. THANKS A LOT
