What is causing this backfiring

I have a 98 Dakota 3.9 and just recently it has started to stall while driving and backfiring sometimes it will kick back over sometimes you have to wait awhile to get it to start ive replaced my plugs,distributor ,remote,ignition coil,and the crank senso

i would start with checking the fuel pressure. if it is low, this will happen.

check the cat converter for back pressure. it could be clogged as well.
