One more question when you take the old cylinder out I know you leave it in the run position. But how do you align the new key cylinder. Thanks.

After disabling the airbag make sure the steering wheel is straight. Then remove the airbag and steering wheel. Then take some electrical tape and tape the Sir coil so It cannot rotate. That's the trick I use for not messing up the Sir coil. Now for the ignition all you do is put the key in turn it to the run position and insert the new cylinder. Use the ignition cylinder bezel to tell you its position before inserting it. Did you already look it up and see that you have to remove the steering wheel and all that to Change a cylinder?

Yeah I have the repair manuel. Their is a screw behind the Sir coil that holds it in. This was the only other question I had how do I know when the steering wheel is straight do I turn the wheel to where it is almost straight. Also do I need to adjust the steering wheel. Meaning pulling the lever and dropping the steering wheel down. Is their a way to recenter the steering wheel or is this why you make the wheel straight. Thanks.

If your car is in alignment then when your wheels are straight then your steering wheel will be straight. That way your sir coil is centered along with the steering. It always makes me feel better doing it that way.I have never had a problem and have taken off tons of sir coils. After the sir coil is centered to the steering wheel and steeeing column after you remove it you don't want to turn anything. Also it doesn't matter if the steering level is up or down like you askes about.

Ok The car is not aligned. So if this is the case then I just tun the steering wheel to where it looks like it is aligned. Or do I turn the wheel and look at the tires each time until it looks as if the tires are straight. Sorry for so many questions I just want to make sure I am doing it right. Thank you so much.

Just make sure the steering wheel is straight and the front wheels are as close to being straight as possible.
