I have replaced the cap rotor coil and distributor modual and have weak fire is it possable that the new coil is bad it is an hei

It cold be but check resistance of pickup coil in dist and check to see if thing below coil is hitting rotor as sometimes these are broken. Pickup coil also breaks the wires leading to it there should be 650-900 ohms on that. It may be the module which I think on those the autoparts can check them If you replace it make sure to put the grease under it when installing.

Just check the two wires leading to the module in dist. It's pink an dwhite if I remember correctly. If it's bad you need to pull dist and take dist apart to get it. See pic
