Cadillac El Dorado Battery Problem
Had my Alternator replaced in March. Last month the battery not charging light came on along with others and the car died on me. I got a new battery because I thought in march it may have developed a bad cell. The battery not charging light came back on and I parked it. the battery is dead and the car will not remain running without being jumped off and jumper cables remaining on the battery. Could it be the new alt or a more serious issue?

it cold be either a bad battery or alternator. Or it could be a draw on the battery when the car is shut off. have it checked tosee if it's charging and then charge battery and get it tested. if both tose ok thenit's probably a draw you can go to the site here to see how to diagnose that.

This would be more than likely the alternator not charging the battery.
