STRUT ASSEMBLY
Removal & Disassembly

1. Remove rear seat cushion and rear seat backrest (sedan) or rear speaker grille (wagon). Raise and support vehicle. Remove rear wheels. Remove brake caliper and brake hose (if necessary). Place mark on upper strut mount stud and body for reassembly reference.

2. Remove upper and lower mounting bolts and remove strut from vehicle. Using coil spring compressor, compress coil spring. Remove double nuts and disassemble shock. Note position of coil spring in relation to upper bracket. See Fig 4.

Reassembly & Installation
To reassemble, reverse disassembly procedure. Mount coil spring with flat end down. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts to specification.
