What would cause a vehicle to not start when hot?

Saturn 97 Sl2 wont start after getting hot unless foot is applied to brake today that method did not help. Ideas

You need to check what is missing causing the non starting.

Just to add to this one it would only start with your foot on the brake when it was hot?So is it a crank no start or no crank no start?If it was a no crank no start I would suspect a starter if it was a crank no start I would suspect a coolant temp sensor or crank shaft postion sensor. Thats throwing the foot on the brake to start it out of picture. Because I have never seen that onne before. So I would like to hear more about it if it was holding the gas pedal to the floor I would say coolant temp sensor they have a haigh failure rate on those cars.
