My p/s pump made some noise but not to bad, then it quit and was quiet and the steering started to catch to the left and will still turn to left but have to put a lot of weight on steering wheel. It will turn rite just fine and sometimes it will turn left to a certain point then it will catch. I took out 8 oz. Of p/s fluid and put in 8 oz. Of sea foam trans foam for hydraulic and trans. It has loosened a little but it is still not up to Parr.

It sounds like the rack and pinion may be going bad. Check for leaks at the rack.

If the pump was noisy, thats the bearings inside screaming because they are either worn, or dont have enough oil to stay lubricated. If the system is full, and no air is left, check pressure while pump is under load. Chances are its bad. Dont rule out the rack though. They leak, and that may have been the reason you lost fluid and had the noise.
