I just recently gotten the code p0400 yesterday but I also had the code p0171 for like a week, I have been searching up ways to fix this and says clean the egr valve now if I do this is it possible for both codes to go away?

You need to clean the egr passages not just the valve for the p0400 and it is not related to the p0171 which is a lean code and in you case most likely a mass air flow sensor or leaking intake gasket.

Your welcome. Most likely it is the mass air flow sensor. But could be the intake gaskets.

Hello, I cleaned out the egr and passage ways like you said and it worked, I also found out what was causing the p0171 code and it was the air tube that connects the throttle body and the MAF it was all ripped up underneath, so I put duct tape around it to seal it until I get a new one. Wanna thank you again for helping me. :)
