My car makes a loud click click noise whenever I cut it to turn left or right. It also is making noise whenever it's idling. It sounds like something is spinning and loose. The van also wants to die when I turn it over, but it doesn't. It comes close to dying but then turns over. I know I need new brakes but do these problems occur because of it? Any ideas for any of this?

Ok, first, in the future, so our other users can more easily search out database for answers to similar questions, please start a new thread for each question.

Now, the clicking is probably a constant velocity joint going bad. Not related to the brakes. Probably.

Can you make a recording of the "spinning and loose" noise you mention and upload it to something like Dropbox and give me a link please? And describe where it's coming from?

By "when I turn it over" do you mean when you try and start it? And what do you mean by "wants to die"? If it's what it sounds like, have the battery load-tested and have a starter current draw test done. If the battery needs charging, also test the alternator.
