Took vehicle to the shop for a rebuilt transmission. Replaced wire harness. Vehicle will turn but would not start. Replaced new fuel pump with another new one. Fuel filter, battery, and cables are still new. Checked fuses and vacuum hoses. Checked computer but no codes came up. Everyone's baffled. When key is turned there's no humming noise coming from fuel pump. But after key is turned off after trying to start the vehicle there's a vibration in the steering column and steering wheel. Any ideas? Vehicle still at the shop and their mechanics have no idea.

It may be the inertia switch that cuts off the fuel pump I case of a wreck, or it could be an antitheft feature. The inertia switch is in the trunk behind the passenger wheel well. If that's not it, call ford with the VIN to find out what, if any, kind of antitheft you've got
