Chevrolet Silverado Check engine light Problem
I have a 97 Chevy Silverado 4 wheel drive the oil pressure is not 0 but it is below 40 I just wanted to know if is the oil pump pressure switch why I need another distributor my check engine light came on and I was a quart low so I added to court and it went off or do you think I should just change my oil

10 lbs hot in gear is normal so 40 or below is within specs.
change it and see what happens. if you are still not sure, have the pressure checked manually to verify actual pressure
