It could be a couple things. First, check to make sure the coolant level is full. Check the thermostat for proper operation. Check to make sure the cooling fans are working properly. Make sure the radiator is clean and not plugged. Finally, with the engine cold, open the radiator cap and start the engine. Does coolant shoot out?
