Got a remote start, installed, started getting bang shifts from park to reverse. Took it oUt, got better. A few months later, got worse, groggy accelerating that seems like misfiring. Solenoids are constantly powered it seems. When I accelerate on the high way, it shakes and misfires.

p070 code comes up, we can't figure out what's causing it. Things point to the ecm, but not sure. Not the range selector.

help please!

So are you saying all this started after you installed the remote start? Are you sure you have a code P0070 I cant see one listed. Also do you have a delay and bang into reverse?Do you have slipping in gears hard shifts?

Yeah, it all really started after the remote start. The full code is p0706 sorry. I do have a bang and slight delay into reverse. I'm not sure what you mean by slipping, I'm not too car saavy. I got all this info from my mechanic, he's stuck so I'm trying to get some answers with out having to get a full diagnostic done at a repair shop

Battery and cables are fine, that was checked. Ignore the part when I said not the range selector, that was the code. I should have said the shift indicator is fine. Also, I start in 2 nd

I posted the trouble tree for the code P0706 you will have to diagnose that code when its active its most likely a bad selector switch. That will the shifting issue you could have other transmission issue but I would start with that code. It won't cause the missifire I would check the spark plug wires and plugs also inspect the coil towers and see if there corroded. If you change the spark plug use the stock ngk copper plug. Don't put platnuim plugs in that engine they carbon foul etc. Let me know what you find.

Spark plugs were changed when I went to him last. I know we went stock everything. If it helps, it started immediately after the remote start was installed.
