We've just bought a used oem for a96 mpv 3.0 2 wd 6cyl the numbers on the unit is JEC4 the original one has JE96 SHOULD THOSE NUMBERS MATCH? It did start but it has no power and just peters out. Also we got codes p0141 & p1527(rear o2 sensor& aws control system malfunction(calf.2wd only) are we having trouble because the numbers dont match or because california has the oem tweeked for higher air quality control. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you LJ

The part numbers need to match. I recommend contacting the dealer and requesting the same part. The only thing that can change the part number is if it was updated. However, they usually keep the same part number and add a letter to indicate the update.
