Jack up and place on stands, remove wheel and back off the tie rod lock nut (on the shaft) remove split pin and tie rod nut, normally a sharp blow on the housing where the tie rod fits in, (do not hit tie rod)will break the taper,count the turns to remove tie rod (replace same to maintain alignment) remove lock nut and un do boot clips and withdraw boot.
