I ran the obd2 and the code p 0715 came up, could this possibly be due to my idle air control valve going out?

That code is related to the transmission. Are you having any issues with it? Is the check engine light on all the time? Does is flash?

I have another question. Has the transmission ever been serviced? Is the fluid clean and full? The code is for an input speed sensor, so that should have an effect on the shifting and speedo.

Never been serviced, the transmission fluid is full and looks clean

Are there any trans issues? Also, with that many miles, the fluid has to be dirty.
